Nile of Hope Academy is training academy to develop knowledge and skills of health care professionals, especially in the field of congenital anomalies. Nile of Hope Academy is an integral part of Nile of Hope Hospital which is the first hospital specialized in pediatric congenital anomalies surgeries in Egypt and Africa, Based on the latest scientific research, and the provision of integrated healthcare for children free of charge.

This immersive program will provide you with:

Program

1- The duration of the summer camp is 40 hours throughout 6 weeks which means 11 training days an average 2 days per week 4 hours per day.
2- The trainees will conduct a presentation on their final project on what they learned during their training period at the end of the summer camp.
3- Each observer will receive his/her logbook during the summer camp.
This logbook must include details about what is being observed during the day and will be submitted at the end of the summer camp
4- An evaluation sheet from the supervisor will be included to measure the observer’s performance.
5- Each student will receive a certificate at the end of the summer camp.
6- Main Topics that will be discussed in each department:
1- Medical devices in department
2- Theory of operation
3- Models and types of devices
4- Troubleshooting of the devices
5- Assignments

Eligibility criteria

An observer has to be a student at the faculty of engineering or Applied Health Sciences Technology at any accredited university in Egypt.

Certificate Policy

  • -You have to attend at least 75% of the sessions.
    If you Failed to do so, this will result in failing the observership; therefore, you are not allowed to attend the rest of sessions.
  • -You are expected to arrive on time for all courses sessions.
  • -You are allowed to be late twice without penalty, after that you will be considered absent in the 3rd time, although you are allowed to attend the session.

Cancellation Policy

  • – Free cancellation: If a participant wants to cancel his registration 15
    days prior to the course or workshop.
  • – 25% deduction: If a participant wants to cancel his registration 7 days
    prior to the course or workshop.
  • – 72 hours: There will be no cancellation but the participant will get a
    refund for another course or workshop within 1 year.
